Privacy Policy
Privacy is not a formality. It is a choice of respect toward everyone who visits this site. For this reason, yoovant.com collects only the data strictly necessary for its operation, nothing more.
This page describes how that data is handled, in accordance with EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) and Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003.

Data collected
Navigation data. Like any website, yoovant.com automatically receives some technical data from the browser: IP address, pages visited, request timestamp, device type, and operating system.
Analytics. The site uses Umami, an open source analytics tool. The service is provided by Umami Software Inc. via Umami Cloud, with servers located in Europe. Umami does not use cookies, does not collect IP addresses or any other personally identifiable data. The statistics collected (pages visited, general geographic origin, device type, browser) are aggregated and anonymous. No data is transferred outside the European Economic Area. Umami privacy policy: umami.is/privacy.
Display preference. The site saves the choice between light and dark mode in the browser’s localStorage. This is not a cookie and the data never reaches any server.
Email. The site has no contact forms. Anyone writing to contact@yoovant.com transmits the data contained in the message.
Purposes and legal basis of processing
Navigation data. Purpose: to verify that the site works correctly, to derive anonymous usage statistics, and possibly to establish liability in the event of cybercrime. Legal basis: YOOVANT’s legitimate interest in the security and proper functioning of the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Analytics. Purpose: to understand, in aggregate form, how the site is used. As this involves aggregated and anonymous data, this processing falls outside the scope of the GDPR; as a precaution, the legal basis identified is nonetheless YOOVANT’s legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Display preference. The data stays on the user’s device and never reaches a server: it does not constitute processing of personal data by YOOVANT and requires no legal basis.
Email. Purpose: to handle the correspondence received. Legal basis: YOOVANT’s legitimate interest in responding to requests received (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); when the correspondence concerns a possible collaboration, the legal basis is the performance of pre-contractual measures requested by the data subject (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Retention period
Navigation data. Server logs are retained for about two weeks (daily rotation with 14 files kept, per the operating system’s logrotate configuration), after which they are automatically deleted.
Analytics. Being aggregated and anonymous data, it is not subject to a retention period under the GDPR. The retention of data collected by Umami is governed by its own privacy policy: umami.is/privacy.
Display preference. Stays in the user’s browser until manually deleted or cleared via browser settings.
Email. Retained for as long as necessary to handle the correspondence, unless the data subject requests deletion.
Cookies
This site does not use profiling cookies or third-party cookies. This is why there is no cookie banner.
External links
The site contains links to LinkedIn, GitHub, and TidyCal. These are independent services with their own policies, over which YOOVANT has no control.
Rights
This site does not collect personally identifiable data, so there is no profile to consult, correct, or delete.
The only exception is email correspondence: anyone who has written to contact@yoovant.com may at any time request the deletion of that correspondence by writing to privacy@yoovant.com.
